I love a good healthy recipe that is incredibly simple, fast, few ingredients, and that has many variations…

And that’s just what I have for you today!

I stumbled across this very simple recipe years ago and it has quickly become a staple in our house. This recipe is a simple almond flour flat bread, however we have used this same recipe for crackers and even for pizza dough!

What I love the most about it is you can change it up with the spices you add. There really isn’t any measurements and you can add or change the spices to create different flavors.

Gluten Free Flat Bread

Materials

  • 1 cup Blanched Almond Flour
  • 1 cup Tapioca Flour
  • 1 TBSP Olive Oil
  • Spices to taste
  • Just Enough Water to form a dough
  • Shredded cheese for topping if desired

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a bowl. Using about a tablespoon at a time, add water. Keep adding water until you get a dough. Your dough should not be sticky so it's really important to add water slowly.
  • Roll out your dough between two pieces of parchment paper until you get the thickness you want. If you are making crackers you may want to roll it real thin so you get them to crunch up.
  • Remove top piece of parchment paper, top with shredded cheese if desired and bake at 375° for about 10 minutes or until slightly golden.

Some of our favorite ways to eat this flat bread is for lunch with tuna, a fresh cucumber/tomato salad from the garden, or just with some salami and cheese. But really the possibilities are endless!

How would you eat this flat bread?
