Wool Dryer Ball Spray (using essential oils)

One thing I got rid of long ago was dryer sheets. I really don’t like to buy things that just get thrown away. I love when I can use a product over and over again…

And then I found wool dryer balls.

I loved it! A safe and natural way to keep the static out of our clothes and I could use my doTERRA essential oils on them, so my clothes smelled good!

I loved it except I hated running around the house, hunting down the oil I wanted to drop onto the wool ball. So, a lot of time I wouldn’t put anything on them, and I would just dry my clothes with just the wool balls.

That works fine if you don’t care about your clothes having a scent on them. But I always love a fresh clean smell, so I created this lovely spray!

Wool Ball Spray using essential oils…

This lovely spray just sits above my dryer and whenever my wool balls need some scent to them, I just simply spray it on and away they go! It works perfectly and I love that it was so very simple to make!

What you need:

-water

– glycerin

-essential oils

-2oz glass spray bottle

-dryer wool balls, to spray on

What to do:

Add 1 tsp of liquid glycerin to your spray bottle. Add 10-20 drops of essential oils. My favorite mix is wild orange and lavender because it gives it a nice fresh smell, but you can use anything you would like! Sometimes I will mix a batch up using On Guard or Frankincense during the winter months to help with boosting our immune systems. Fill the rest of the bottle up with water and you are ready!

Why is the glycerin added?

A good pure essential oil will not mix with water. Your oil will ALWAYS rise to the top and your straw will only be spraying the water from the bottom of the bottle without the oil mixed, even when you shake it. This is where the glycerin comes in. By adding a little glycerin, you now can give it a good shake before each spray and the oils will mix all in and you can be sure it is coming out when you spray!

I order my glycerin on Amazon. I added the link below to the brand I use…

I bought my wool dryer balls on Amazon as well and they come in a pack of 6. I use 2 balls at a time in my dryer. Below I put the link for the dryer balls I use.

As you all know I use the doTERRA brand for essential oils. If you don’t already have essential oils to use, I would be happy to share with you how you can be a wholesale customer for doTERRA to get all your essential oils at wholesale cost!

Now you no longer need to purchase those dryer sheets at the store and can start getting your clothes static free with a nice scent of your choice!
