How To Prepare For Canning Season!

It’s almost canning season!

This is one of my favorite times of the year. I love harvesting fresh produce from the garden and preserving it for later months.

This year is even more exciting because I have lots of fruit trees to preserve as well as the garden produce!

After I get my garden in the ground, I like to start thinking about canning. That way I can be prepared and buy anything that I need, well before the bounty starts coming in!

If you are a first-year canner, your supply list will be bigger, since you need to gather everything. Each year after, you won’t have much to get every year!

Come along and watch how I prepare for the canning season!

Here is my complete supply list with links to everything I use:

Learning to can is such a valuable skill… It is so nice to be able to go to your shelf and pull out a jar of healthy foods to feed to your family.

I have posted a few videos on canning but I highly recommend taking a canning class online if possible. I learned to can by taking a class by Carolyn Thomas from Homesteading Family.

Make sure to gather all your supplies now to be set for when all your produce starts coming in!
